Athirappilly Waterfalls
It is located 78 kms from Kochi (Cochin), kerala, located at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, this waterfall is a popular picnic spot.
Affording to the onlookers, one of the most bewitching sights, Athirappilly Falls is about 80 feet high and located in the forest area. Combined with the greenery, it infuses freshness into any tired soul.
The Athirapilly Falls join the Chalakkudy River after plummeting a drop of 80 feet.
Havelock Islands, Andaman and Nicobar Islands
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands local are a group of islands in the Bay of Bengal and a Union Territory of India.
The territory is 150 km (93 mi) north of Aceh in Indonesia and separated from Thailand and Burma by the Andaman Sea. It comprises two island groups, the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands, separated by the 10° N parallel, with the Andamans to the north of this latitude, and the Nicobars to the south. The Andaman Sea lies to the east and the Bay of Bengal to the west.
The territory's capital is the Andamanese town of Port Blair. The total land area of the territory is approximately 6,496 km2 (2,508 sq mi). The capital of Nicobar Islands is Car Nicobar.
The Church of Hallgrimur
The Hallgrímskirkja (literally, the church of Hallgrímur) is a Lutheran parish church in Reykjavík, Iceland.
At 74.5 metres (244 ft).It is the largest church in Iceland and the sixth tallest architectural structure in Iceland. State Architect Guðjón Samúelsson’s design of the church was commissioned in 1937.
It is said to have designed it to resemble the basalt lava flows of Iceland’s landscape.It took 38 years to build the church. Construction work began in 1945 and ended in 1986.
Highest Water Fall; Venezuela
Angel Falls (Spanish: Salto Ángel; Pemon language: Kerepakupai Vená, meaning "waterfall of the deepest place", or Parakupá Vená, meaning "the fall from the highest point") is a waterfall in Venezuela.
It is the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall, with a height of 979 m (3,212 ft) and a plunge of 807 m (2,648 ft). The waterfall drops over the edge of the Auyantepui mountain in the Canaima National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional Canaima), a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Gran Sabana region of Bolívar State. The height figure 979 m (3,212 ft) mostly consists of the main plunge but also includes about 400 m (0.25 mi) of sloped cascades and rapids below the drop and a 30-metre (98 ft) high plunge downstream of the talus rapids.
The base of the falls feeds into the Kerep River (alternatively known as the Río Gauya), which flows into the Churun River, a tributary of the Carrao River.
Ladakh
Ladakh is a region of Jammu and Kashmir; India.
Ladakh lies between the Kunlun mountain range in the north and the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent.
It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Jammu and Kashmir.
Ladakh is the highest plateau of state of Kashmir with much of it being over 3,000 m (9,800 ft).
It spans the Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges and the upper Indus River valley.
The fauna of Ladakh has much in common with that of Central Asia in general and that of the Tibetan Plateau in particular. Exceptions to this are the birds, many of which migrate from the warmer parts of India to spend the summer in Ladakh.
For such an arid area, Ladakh has a great diversity of birds — a total of 225 species have been recorded.

Amazon Rainforest
The Amazon rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in the world, covering over five and a half a million square kilometres (1.4 billion acres).
Over half of the Amazon rainforest is located in Brazil but it is also located in other South American countries including Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Guyana, Bolivia, Suriname and French Guiana.
10% of the world’s known species live in the Amazon rainforest.
20% of the world’s bird species live in the Amazon rainforest.
It is home to around 2 and a half million different insect species as well as over 40000 plant species.
There are also a number of dangerous species living in the Amazon rainforest such as the cougar, jaguar and anaconda.
While the protection of the Amazon rainforest remains an issue, deforestation rates have been reducing while areas of conserved land have been increasing over the last 10 years.
In both 2005 and 2010 the Amazon rainforest suffered severe droughts that killed off large amounts of vegetation in the worst affected areas.
