Athirappilly Waterfalls



It is located 78 kms from Kochi (Cochin), kerala, located at the entrance to Sholayar ranges, this waterfall is a popular picnic spot. 

Affording to the onlookers, one of the most bewitching sights, Athirappilly Falls is about 80 feet high and located in the forest area. Combined with the greenery, it infuses freshness into any tired soul. 

The Athirapilly Falls join the Chalakkudy River after plummeting a drop of 80 feet.

Havelock Islands, Andaman and Nicobar Islands



The Andaman and Nicobar Islands local are a group of islands in the Bay of Bengal and a Union Territory of India.

The territory is 150 km (93 mi) north of Aceh in Indonesia and separated from Thailand and Burma by the Andaman Sea. It comprises two island groups, the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands, separated by the 10° N parallel, with the Andamans to the north of this latitude, and the Nicobars to the south. The Andaman Sea lies to the east and the Bay of Bengal to the west.

The territory's capital is the Andamanese town of Port Blair. The total land area of the territory is approximately 6,496 km2 (2,508 sq mi). The capital of Nicobar Islands is Car Nicobar.

The Church of Hallgrimur



The Hallgrímskirkja (literally, the church of Hallgrímur) is a Lutheran parish church in Reykjavík, Iceland. 
At 74.5 metres (244 ft).It is the largest church in Iceland and the sixth tallest architectural structure in Iceland. State Architect Guðjón Samúelsson’s design of the church was commissioned in 1937.
It is said to have designed it to resemble the basalt lava flows of Iceland’s landscape.It took 38 years to build the church. Construction work began in 1945 and ended in 1986.

Highest Water Fall; Venezuela



Angel Falls (Spanish: Salto Ángel; Pemon language: Kerepakupai Vená, meaning "waterfall of the deepest place", or Parakupá Vená, meaning "the fall from the highest point") is a waterfall in Venezuela.

It is the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall, with a height of 979 m (3,212 ft) and a plunge of 807 m (2,648 ft). The waterfall drops over the edge of the Auyantepui mountain in the Canaima National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional Canaima), a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Gran Sabana region of Bolívar State. The height figure 979 m (3,212 ft) mostly consists of the main plunge but also includes about 400 m (0.25 mi) of sloped cascades and rapids below the drop and a 30-metre (98 ft) high plunge downstream of the talus rapids.

The base of the falls feeds into the Kerep River (alternatively known as the Río Gauya), which flows into the Churun River, a tributary of the Carrao River.

Ladakh



Ladakh is a region of Jammu and Kashmir; India.

Ladakh lies between the Kunlun mountain range in the north and the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. 
It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Jammu and Kashmir.

Ladakh is the highest plateau of state of Kashmir with much of it being over 3,000 m (9,800 ft). 
It spans the Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges and the upper Indus River valley.

The fauna of Ladakh has much in common with that of Central Asia in general and that of the Tibetan Plateau in particular. Exceptions to this are the birds, many of which migrate from the warmer parts of India to spend the summer in Ladakh. 
For such an arid area, Ladakh has a great diversity of birds — a total of 225 species have been recorded.

Phyramid


The most famous Egyptian pyramids are those found at Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo. 

Several of the Giza pyramids are counted among the largest structures ever built.


The Pyramid of Khufu at Giza is the largest Egyptian pyramid. 

It is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still in existence

Amazon Rainforest



The Amazon rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest in the world, covering over five and a half a million square kilometres (1.4 billion acres).

Over half of the Amazon rainforest is located in Brazil but it is also located in other South American countries including Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Guyana, Bolivia, Suriname and French Guiana.

10% of the world’s known species live in the Amazon rainforest.

20% of the world’s bird species live in the Amazon rainforest.

It is home to around 2 and a half million different insect species as well as over 40000 plant species.

There are also a number of dangerous species living in the Amazon rainforest such as the cougar, jaguar and anaconda.

While the protection of the Amazon rainforest remains an issue, deforestation rates have been reducing while areas of conserved land have been increasing over the last 10 years.

In both 2005 and 2010 the Amazon rainforest suffered severe droughts that killed off large amounts of vegetation in the worst affected areas.

Singapore



Singapore consists only of one main island and 63 other tiny islands. Most of these islands are uninhabited.

Singapore is among the 20 smallest countries in the world, with a total land area of only 682.7 square kilometers. The USA is about 15,000 times bigger.

Apart from Monaco, Singapore is the most densely populated country in the world, with 6,430 people per square kilometer.

The Merlion, a half-fish, half-lion beast, is a fitting symbol of Singapore. The “Singa” or lion represents the animal that a Sumatran prince saw which resembled a lion, and the fish is a tribute to Singapore’s history as “Temasek”, the ancient sea town.

The world’s highest man-made waterfall, standing at 30 metres, is located at the Jurong BirdPark, Singapore.
 

Cloud Gate


Its a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Anish Kapoor, is the centerpiece of the AT&T Plaza in Millennium Park within the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois, United States.

 The sculpture and AT&T Plaza are located on top of Park Grill, between the Chase Promenade and McCormick Tribune Plaza & Ice Rink.

Constructed between 2004 and 2006, the sculpture is nicknamed "The Bean" because of its bean-like shape.

 Made up of 168 stainless steel plates welded together, its highly polished exterior has no visible seams. 

It is 33 by 66 by 42 feet (10 by 20 by 13 m), and weighs 110 short tons (100 t; 98 long tons) Said to have been inspired by liquid mercury, the sculpture's surface reflects and distorts the city's skyline. 

Visitors are able to walk around and under Cloud Gate's 12-foot (3.7 m) high arch. On the underside is the "omphalos" (Greek for "navel"), a concave chamber that warps and multiplies reflections. 

The sculpture builds upon many of Kapoor's artistic themes, and is popular with tourists as a photo-taking opportunity

The Moscow Kremlin


The Moscow Kremlin is a potent sign of the majestic imperial culture and boasts about the rich historical past. 

If you consider the rich past of this monument which is standing with
pride of witnessing the medieval citadel and the modern power centre  you will be simply amazed.

This beautiful artwork resembles the flawless craftsmanship of the creator and stands out to be an eminent architecture. 


It has created a historical dominance and the relevance of this site will not vanish with the coming years. 

The Kremlin has overseen the Russian life for more than eight hundred years.

Ayyappancoil Hanging Bridge




Ayyappancoil hanging(Suspension bridge built across the Periyar River connecting the Ayyappancoil Grama panchayath and Kanchiyar Grama Panchayath in Idukki district Kerala. 

Ayyappancoil was the only big city in early 1960s.

Due to the Idukki hydro-electric project the big town was evacuated by the Kerala government. 

This made a big gap between the Kovilmala Village and the Ayyappancoil.

Vietnam -The Lost Valley


There were many losers in the Vietnam War, but nature perseveres as the perennial winner; the eternal splendor of Vietnam’s La Drang is perhaps most evocative of that. 

1965 marked the first major battle between US Army regulars and the People’s Army of Vietnam in this presently pristine North Vietnam plot of land. Despite the technical superiority of US forces, Vietnamese opposition proved a formidable opposition and this battle largely set the tone for subsequent war-waging strategies on both sides.
